Trees grafted onto this rootstock reach a size 15–25% smaller than those on standard rootstocks, while maintaining high yield per unit of canopy volume. The fruits are characterized by good quality, with increased juice acidity sometimes noted.
The rootstock exhibits resistance to citrus tristeza virus, nematodes, and Phytophthora, and also possesses good frost resistance. It adapts to various soil types, including replant sites; however, it does not tolerate heavy clay, saline, and calcareous soils, which cause chlorosis.
Incompatibility with the 'Yen Ben' lemon variety has been noted. Biologically, the rootstock is a hybrid of 'Ruby' orange and trifoliate orange, classified as Citrus × insitorum.
