Variety description

The variety is a hybrid obtained by crossing Clematis florida 'Cadmia' and Clematis courtoisii. The flowers have a violet-blue shade, a contrasting yellow center with white anthers, and their buds in a closed state have a bell shape with greenish-white stripes.
The plant reaches a height of up to 300 cm. One of the main characteristics is an intense sweet fragrance with notes of lemon and vanilla. In literature, the variety is also found under the name Clematis 'Sugar-Sweet Lilac'.
Flowering occurs on current-year shoots. Annual hard pruning to a height of about 40 cm at the beginning of the year is recommended to prevent the lower part of the bush from becoming bare. The variety is resistant to wilt and is suitable for landscaping garden structures and growing in containers.
