The plant has a glabrous, smooth, and branched stem in its upper part. The lower leaves are short-petiolate, while the upper ones are sessile, 2–3-times pinnately dissected.
Flowering occurs in June–July. The flowers have a white or pinkish hue, with pale violet anthers. The plant is photophilous, requiring about 1500 hours of sunlight during the growing season and an active temperature sum of 1700–1800 °C; young seedlings tolerate short-term frosts down to –10 °C.
