Variety description

The variety is the result of interspecific hybridization (Cornus kousa subsp. chinensis × C. nuttallii «Goldspot») × C. kousa «Rosea». This deciduous tree reaches 6–9 meters in height at maturity with a broad-oval or rounded crown.
Flowering occurs in late spring to early summer, with bract size reaching 15–18 cm in diameter. The plant is considered practically sterile and produces few fruits. In autumn, the foliage turns red-orange shades.
The variety possesses resistance to anthracnose, powdery mildew, and a certain level of drought tolerance. It is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant or in small groups in parks and gardens.
