The Kompolti variety (including the derivatives Kompolti hibrid TC and Kompolti sárga szárú) is a form of Coronilla varia, the breeding of which has been conducted in Hungary since the 1970s based on material imported from the USA. The crop is intended for use as green fodder, hay, and for the formation of pasture stands.
The plant possesses pronounced resistance to soil conditions and water availability. In open sources, information on the morphological traits and precise agrotechnical indicators of the variety is presented to a limited extent; general resistance of the crop to diseases and pests is noted, although cases of mycosis infection have been recorded.
