Altinbaş (also spelled Altinbaşh) is a traditional melon variety widely known in Turkey. The plant often appears in scientific papers dedicated to the study of genetic diversity and morphological characteristics of local melon genotypes.

This variety is not a commercial product of May Agro Seed Corp. Detailed agronomic characteristics of the plant are not standardized in published materials, as it is more often regarded as an object for breeding programs and genetic research.
