Cocorito is a hybrid (HF1) from the winter melon group (Inodorus). The variety is intended for cultivation in open field conditions, which is confirmed by the results of field cultivation studies.
The plant genotype possesses resistance to powdery mildew. Scientific studies noted that the hybrid is affected by this disease later, and the degree of damage is significantly lower compared to susceptible varieties.
