The variety Edgar F1 is an early-maturing hybrid with a well-balanced plant possessing pronounced vigor. The crop is distinguished by its ability to form a large number of fruit sets and high yield.

The hybrid's fruits possess excellent internal qualities and tasty flesh. The variety is characterized by intermediate resistance to melon aphid and good resistance to Fusarium.
