The Edecos melon belongs to the Galia type. The plant is characterized as vigorous, with high shoot regeneration capacity. The variety is intended for cultivation in open field; the use of film tunnels or agrotextiles is permitted.

The fruits have a round shape and a small seed cavity. Upon ripening, the rind acquires an intense color, and the flesh is distinguished by a creamy texture and high sugar content.
