The variety belongs to the Ogen type, characterized by small fruits weighing from 500 to 1200 g, oval or round in shape without netting on the surface. Mature fruits have a segmented yellow surface with green stripes in the grooves; the flesh is greenish-white with a sugar content of 9–13%. The plants have short vines, which is suitable for cultivation on trellises.
The variety carries the Fom-1 resistance gene to Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis), however, it may show susceptibility to new races of the pathogen. In scientific literature, it is used as a differential variety for assessing resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew, as well as a model in molecular genetic research and breeding.
