The hybrid variety «Hybrid 15» was bred in Bulgaria on the basis of the local melon variety «Vidinski koravci». In scientific literature, it is mentioned as one of the most widespread hybrids in the country.
The name «Hybrid 15» is also found in the context of cucumbers as a parthenocarpic hybrid with elongated fruits, therefore, when identifying, it is necessary to take into account the belonging to a specific crop.
