Fruits of the Jamaica hybrid have a round-oval shape. The surface is characterized by the presence of a fine net and distinct green sutures. The fruit flesh is firm, orange in color.
The plant possesses genetic resistance to powdery mildew (races 1, 2) and Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1, 2). The hybrid is adapted to growing conditions in California and Arizona.
There is a mention of the variety Jamaica Small Melon, which was used by breeders in the mid-20th century as a parental component for developing new melon varieties.
