Under the name Jaune canari (included in the Cucumis melo var. inodorus variety), various cultivars and hybrids appear in breeding. The plant is vining, with the period from emergence to ripening being 60–75 days.
The fruits have an oval shape and reach a weight of 1.4–1.6 kg. The skin is smooth, bright yellow, without a net. The light-colored flesh has a pronounced aroma. Cultivars of this type are distinguished by good transportability and potential for long-term storage.
Cultivars of this group demonstrate resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fom:0-2) and are adapted to arid conditions and a hot climate. The fruits are intended for fresh consumption.
