Bono cucumber fruits are distinguished by an aromatic flavor and smooth skin. The recommended size for consumption as a snack is 10–15 cm, although harvesting at larger fruit sizes is also acceptable. The variety is seed-producing, suitable for seed collection.

The plant is vining, reaching a height of 1 to 1.5 meters with a width of 40–60 cm. The crop is harvested in the period from July to October. The variety is demanding of growing conditions, requiring a sunny location protected from the wind, loose fertile soil, and abundant watering. It is cultivated in open field, cold frames, and greenhouses.
