The variety is a German heirloom variety for general use. The period from emergence to the beginning of fruiting is 43–60 days. The plant is bee-pollinated, vigorous, medium-vined, and forms vines up to 1.5 meters long. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open field and film greenhouses.

The gherkins have an oval-cylindrical shape, light green color, and small tubercles. The length of marketable fruits is 9–15 cm. Taste qualities are characterized by the absence of bitterness, a sweet aroma, and a delicate sugary structure. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning.

The variety is distinguished by resistance to adverse weather conditions, including short-term cold spells, as well as to certain diseases, including powdery mildew.
