The vegetation period is 58–60 to 65–69 days from germination to the beginning of fruiting. The plant is vigorous, long-vined, and capable of growing both on the ground and using supports.

The fruits have a cylindrical shape and smooth dark green skin. The flesh is firm, with a low seed content.

The variety is a traditional Italian local landrace, adapted to local conditions. Intended for fresh consumption in salads.
