The variety belongs to the gherkin-type cucumber category and is a first-generation hybrid (F1). In a number of official EU documents, the variety is listed as deleted from the registry, although information regarding its replacement by the variety Tornado is encountered.
In scientific studies, the Mepram variety was used as an object for comparison, in particular, when studying the reactions of cucumber hypocotyls to the exposure to cutin monomers. Detailed morphological characteristics and data on disease resistance are absent in the publications.
