Merlin F1 is a parthenocarpic hybrid with a predominantly female flowering type, not requiring pollination. The variety is early-maturing: the period from transplanting to fruit ripening is about 55 days. The plant is vining, requiring trellising and pruning in greenhouse conditions or film tunnels.
The fruits are of the midi type, have smooth skin, reach a length of 15 cm and a weight of up to 60 g. The cucumbers have a mild taste and are not prone to bitterness. The hybrid is characterized by continuous fruiting and high yield.
The plant has resistance to powdery mildew, partial resistance to downy mildew, and resistance to cucumber mosaic virus. Intended primarily for private gardening in protected ground.
