The Mona F1 hybrid, also known as AX-148, matures within 40–45 days. The plant is characterized by its suitability for cultivation in open field and temporary plastic covers, and possesses resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and powdery mildew. The fruits of this hybrid have high pickling properties.
There is also a New Mona F1 hybrid, which is described as a very early bee-pollinated hybrid suitable for cultivation both in open field and in greenhouses.
