The Nimbus F1 hybrid is known in agronomic literature mainly as a rootstock for growing grafted cucumbers. It has also been used in scientific research aimed at studying plant resistance to pests, in particular to the two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae.

Available sources lack detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, data on branching type, maturity dates, or the quality of fruits intended for consumer purposes. Information on the parental lines of this hybrid is also not presented.
