The variety belongs to the pickling type; the fruits remain crunchy during canning. Morphologically, the fruits are characterized by the presence of tubercles with dark spines and possess firm, resilient flesh and thin skin.

The origin of the variety is linked to breeding work in the Chernihiv region of Ukraine, specifically in the village of Doslidne, Nosivka district.
