The variety is a traditional French gherkin belonging to the category of heirloom varieties. The plant is bee-pollinated and long-vined, yet suitable for container cultivation. The period from germination to the onset of fruiting is 45–50 days.

The fruits are dark green, cylindrical in shape, 5 to 11 cm long, covered with large or medium tubercles with black spines. The flesh is firm and crunchy, without bitterness. The variety possesses high resistance to powdery mildew and spot disease, and also adapts well to fluctuations in weather conditions.

Intended for open field and film shelters. The variety is versatile, but most in demand for canning and pickling, as it retains its texture after processing. To maintain a stable yield, regular harvesting and irrigation are required.
