The hybrid was developed in Poland during a breeding program aimed at combining high productivity with biological plant protection. Work on the variety was carried out between 1996 and 2000 with the participation of Professor Doruchowski.

The variety is intended for both commercial plantations and smallholdings. The primary stated feature is an increased level of resistance to the pathogen Pseudoperonospora cubensis, which causes downy mildew.
