Rubin Medalista F1 is a parthenocarpic hybrid intended for cultivation in protected ground, including heated and unheated greenhouses and tunnels. The plant is characterized by short internodes, making it suitable for vertical cultivation on trellises or strings. The variety is adapted for spring and autumn cultivation cycles with a period from emergence to harvest of 53–55 days in spring and 35–40 days in autumn.
The fruits have a dark green color, are covered with large warts with slight grooves, and their length is 10–14 cm. The flesh is firm, crunchy, and without bitterness. The fruits are versatile in use: suitable for fresh consumption, making lightly salted cucumbers, and canning. The hybrid shows tolerance to powdery mildew infection.
