10 August 2026
The variety is the result of organic breeding and is a development of the North Chinese variety Suyo Long. The plant is vining, suitable for cultivation in open field, cold frames, and greenhouses, both on trellises and trailing on the ground. When trellised, the fruits grow straight; on the ground, they are curved.
The fruits reach a length of 35–45 cm, are covered with spines, have sweet crunchy flesh, and are practically seedless at a young age. The ripening period is approximately 65 days. The variety shows tolerance to heat and requires regular watering.
