The variety belongs to the group of pickling cucumbers. The plant is characterized by a parthenocarpic type of fruiting and the presence of spines on the fruits.

It possesses high resistance to powdery mildew (Podosphaera xanthii) and scab (Cladosporium cucumerinum), as well as intermediate resistance to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV).
