The hybrid is an interspecific cross between Cucurbita maxima and Cucurbita moschata. It is used in vegetable growing exclusively as a highly resistant rootstock for grafting other cucurbit crops.

The plant has a vigorous root system, high seed germination energy, and good adaptability to growing conditions, including low temperatures and high soil salinity. The rootstock is also characterized by high resistance to Fusarium wilt.

Using this material as a rootstock contributes to an increase in the yield and fruit weight of grafted crops without altering their taste and aromatic qualities.
