The rootstock belongs to the Shintoza type and is the result of crossing Cucurbita maxima and Cucurbita moschata. It is used in professional vegetable production to increase yield and improve fruit quality of grafted crops.
The plant possesses a developed root system and high resistance to Fusarium. An important feature of the rootstock is its ability to limit the uptake of sodium and chloride ions into the scion, which allows for its effective use in saline soil conditions or when irrigating with mineralized water.
The crop is characterized by high compatibility with various varieties of melons, gourds, and cucumber. The rootstock seeds are characterized by a large size and high germination energy.
