The plant is an annual vining crop, forming vines from 2 to 5 meters long, although it is sometimes described as compact. The fruits are spherical or flattened-round in shape, the size of a tennis ball, have dense smooth white skin, which may acquire a yellowish tint when overripe.
The ripening period of the variety is 90–100 days. From 8 to 20 fruits are formed on one plant. The flesh is edible, cream or light yellow in color, and has a mild flavor. The primary purpose is decorative use in interior design and cooking, where the fruits are used for stuffing or baking.
