The Delicata variety is mid-season, with a period from emergence to harvest of 100–110 days. The plant can have either a vining or a compact bush habit. The fruits are small, weighing 0.4–0.7 kg, and have a cylindrical shape and a cream-yellow color with dark stripes.

A distinctive feature of the fruits is the thin, delicate, and edible skin, which does not need to be removed before cooking. The yellow flesh has a sweet taste and a creamy texture. The fruits are intended for baking, stewing, and stuffing, and store for up to 3 months.
