The variety is a hybrid created within the framework of a breeding program for oilseed pumpkins characteristic of Styria. The primary purpose of the crop is to obtain seeds for pumpkin seed oil production, while the fruit pulp is not used for food as in the case of summer squash.

The plant is positioned as a vigorous, high-yielding, and uniform hybrid. In official documentation, the variety is classified as an oilseed pumpkin, despite belonging to the general species Cucurbita pepo, which also includes summer squash.
