A variety of Bulgarian breeding, known in official catalogues under the name Gornooryahovska 1. Breeding and maintenance work on the variety is conducted by the Maritsa Vegetable Crops Research Institute in the city of Plovdiv.

Phytopathological research indicates the susceptibility of the seeds of this variety to infection by zucchini mosaic virus, zucchini yellow mosaic virus, and cucumber mosaic virus, therefore the use of certified virus-free seed material is recommended.
