The Zara F1 hybrid is early-maturing; the period from emergence to the beginning of fruiting is from 30 to 45 days. The plant forms a compact bush with large green leaves showing slight spotting and short internodes.

The fruits are cylindrical with weakly expressed ribs and are light green in color with white dots. The flesh is dense, light green, and the recommended fruit length at harvest is 16–22 cm. The hybrid possesses parthenocarpy and a long fruiting period exceeding two months.

The plant is intended for mass production in open field and under plastic film covers. It possesses tolerance to powdery mildew and resistance to a number of other fungal and viral diseases.
