The plant belongs to the species Cyclamen persicum Miller. The appearance of the variety is characterized by a saturated carmine-pink color of the inflorescences.

The name «Ivy-leaved Cyclamen» is erroneously applied to this variety, as this species belongs to the biological species Cyclamen hederifolium, whereas «Skalický ružový» is a representative of the Persian cyclamen.
