The variety is synthetic, obtained by the polycross method based on Mediterranean genotypes collected in the southern part of Portugal. It is intended for use in long-term pasture systems in combination with legumes.
The plant is adapted to the Mediterranean climate and is characterized by summer dormancy, allowing it to survive during dry periods. The variety has good forage mass productivity during the rainy season and demonstrates resistance to rust.
