The Serval variety is the result of breeding work by the Silva Tarouca Research Institute for Landscape and Ornamental Gardening (Výzkumný ústav pro krajinu) in the Czech Republic. The plant is included in genetic resource collections as an achievement in the field of ornamental gardening.
Information about the variety is officially recorded in reports on the conservation of biological diversity. Detailed morphological descriptors, including height parameters or inflorescence characteristics, are not provided in public publications and are contained in the specialized registration cards of the Czech Central Institute for Supervising and Testing in Agriculture.
