The variety belongs to the Mystic Dahlias series and is distinguished by its deep mahogany-colored foliage. Single flowers with a diameter of about 9 cm have a bright scarlet hue, which changes to burnt-orange as they age.

The plant reaches a height of 40 to 75 cm. The stems are strong, upright, and support the flower stalks well. Flowering is prolonged, from mid-summer until the first frosts.

The variety is a half-hardy perennial; in climates with sub-zero temperatures, the tubers require lifting and storage in a cool room.
