DA 12
ActiveDahlia Cav. · Dahlia
RUNE HARBOE NIELSEN
10 August 2026
The variety belongs to the single-flowered dahlia group. The flowers are 10–12 cm in diameter, golden-yellow in color with an orange tint and prominent stamens in the center. A characteristic feature is the dark, almost black foliage, which contrasts with the bright inflorescences.
The plant reaches a height of 60–90 cm, has a strong upright stem, and high growth vigor. The flowering period lasts from July until the first frost. The variety is suitable for mixed borders and container gardening, and is also a honey plant.
The plant holds up well as a cut flower. Under unfavorable conditions, it may show susceptibility to powdery mildew. Regular removal of wilted inflorescences is recommended to maintain abundant flowering.
