The variety Dahlietta Jenny is a compact plant with a height of about 20 cm and a width of up to 35 cm, suitable for cultivation in containers and borders. The flowers are double, orange-red in color with a yellow center; the foliage is green and serrated. The plant has an upright spreading habit; under certain conditions, it may require staking.

There are also other varieties: Jennie, which is a laciniated dahlia with a height of 120–150 cm with creamy-white flowers with a pink edge, and Jenny Marie, a pink decorative dahlia. These varieties are professional cut-flower forms and are not related to the Dahlietta series.
