The Salsa variety belongs to the group of globular dahlias with dense, perfectly rounded inflorescences of a bright red, velvety shade. The plant height varies from 100 to 140 cm, although there are mentions of more compact forms for container cultivation.

The plant is abundantly flowering and retains its decorative quality from mid-summer to late autumn. Due to its sturdy stems and long-lasting freshness when cut, the variety is widely used in bouquets, as well as in garden design provided it is planted in sunny areas with fertile, drained soil.
