The hybrid was created as part of a breeding program to increase the resistance of root crops to damage resulting from freeze-thaw cycles. The main goal of the development was to combine traits that prevent ice formation in the tissues of the root crop and the crown, as well as to protect the foliage from the effects of low temperatures.
