The D'Amsterdam variety group belongs to early-maturing carrot types with a maturity period of 10–12 weeks after sowing. The roots have a cylindrical shape, smooth skin, and a length of 15 to 30 cm depending on the subtype. The flesh is distinguished by its tenderness, juiciness, and sweet taste; the core is weakly developed.
The plant is an open-pollinated variety intended for cultivation in open field, greenhouses, or under covers. To form uniform roots, the variety requires light, loose, and deeply cultivated soils without stones.
