The Gladius F1 hybrid combines features of Nantes and Kuroda types, intended for the fresh market and culinary use. Root crops reach 18–22 cm in length and 3–6 cm in diameter with an average weight of about 250 g. The plant possesses vigorous dark green foliage with strong attachment to the root, which is suitable for manual and mechanized harvesting.

The variety is distinguished by high uniformity of roots and resistance to cracking. In terms of agronomy, it is characterized by tolerance to Alternaria and intermediate resistance to a number of other pathogens. The recommended planting density is from 800,000 to 1,000,000 plants per 1 hectare.
