The Kuroda variety type is an improved Chantenay type. The roots have a conical, thickened shape with a blunt tip, reaching 15–20 cm in length. The flesh is colored a deep orange, characterized by juiciness and a small core size.

The plant possesses strong dark green foliage with an upright leaf habit. The variety type is distinguished by high plasticity, resistance to heat, cracking, and bolting, and also possesses tolerance to Alternaria.

Kuroda-type carrots are versatile, suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and bunching sales. When agricultural practices are followed, the roots are suitable for long-term storage for 4–7 months.
