Narome is an open-pollinated (OP) population variety developed specifically for organic farming conditions. It belongs to the Nantaise variety type and is characterized by a high degree of varietal purity, regular root shape, and good plant vigor.
The breeding of the variety is aimed at adaptation to organic cultivation methods and increasing natural disease resistance. As a population variety, Narome maintains seed integrity, which allows for obtaining progeny with the characteristics of the parent plants when re-sowing seeds from one's own harvest.
