The first description presents Newton F1 as a mid-season hybrid of the Chantenay type with a growing period of 110–120 days. The root crops are conical, 5–10 cm long, 100–200 g in weight, and bright orange in color. The plant possesses a robust upright leaf apparatus and resistance to diseases (marking IR: Ar/Cc). The produce is suitable for mechanized harvesting and storage; the dry matter content is 11.2%, and the sugar content is 8.8%.

The second description classifies Newton F1 as the Nantes type (sometimes Flakkee). It is a mid-season hybrid with cylindrical root crops featuring a blunt tip. The length of the root crop is 18–20 cm or 20–22 cm, with a weight of 170–190 g.
