Variety description

The plant forms a compact spreading carpet or dense mat 10–15 cm in height and 25–30 cm in width. The foliage is green, succulent, and needle-shaped. The flowers are star-shaped, colored in fiery red tones: from orange outer petals to a bright red center.
Flowering is abundant, lasting from late spring to autumn. The variety possesses high heat resistance and drought tolerance, and belongs to USDA hardiness zones 5–10 provided there is good drainage. It is used as an ornamental groundcover in rock gardens, borders, and for soil stabilization.
