Variety description

The plant forms upright, dense spike-like inflorescences on stems 1 to 1.5 meters tall. The foliage is deeply dissected, green in color. The flowers have a characteristic dark center ("eye") of an almost black shade.

The variety is intended for use as a cut flower crop, as well as for growing in mixed borders and containers. Flowering occurs throughout the summer; if faded stems are pruned, repeated bud formation is possible. The plant requires protection from slugs and snails.
