The herbaceous upright perennial Ivor's Arrow belongs to the Elatum group. Plant height is usually 1.2 to 1.4 meters, although under certain conditions it may reach 80 cm. Foliage is green, inflorescences are racemose.

Flowers are double, blue, and scentless. The variety is intended for floriculture and cultivation for cut flowers. The plant is demanding of soil quality and is not suitable for planting in poor soils.
