The variety Dianthus × hybrida 'AMANDA' is a compact plant intended for cultivation in pots and containers, as well as for use as a perennial. It has grey-green thin foliage and semi-double violet-purple flowers with a darker center.
In professional floriculture, a cut carnation (Dianthus caryophyllus) named 'Amanda' is also encountered. For this variety, detailed agrotechnical characteristics are absent in open publications, except for the fact of its use in the floral industry.
